Chemotherapy Symptoms
Treatment Automation

Mobile Tool to Manage Nausea Symptoms during Chemotherapy

The app is created for a hospital in the Netherlands for people who are being treated for different types of cancer. It passed CE certification as a medical device class I and is officially used at OLVG hospital.
Based on the cancer type, the app creates a schedule for 5-8 different medications that have to be taken up to 12 times a day. And then the app sends notifications with reminders about meds and dosage, taking into account type of meds, that user has been given in a pharmacy.
The app also stores data about taking or not taking meds and how the user feels during the treatment and sends it to the hospital and doctor for review.

Highlights
  • CE certified app
  • Calculates the correct anti-emetics treatment (dosage and frequency)
  • Helps to cope with chemo after effects
  • Quick doctor-patient communication
  • Actively used in the hospital
